Dogsthorpe Infant School presents...

 S.T.E.M.  LEGO CHALLENGE 25

This is our 25th Lego Challenge. Isn't that amazing!

Have you seen the giant Lighthouse that Mrs Waters has in her Headteacher's Office? It lights up at the top.

It is there to remind all her children to Dream Believe Shine.

Of course real lighthouses have very important jobs. They are there on coasts to warn ships and boats to keep clear of the rocks. This is especially important at night or if it is foggy.

Lighthouses have been around for over 2000 years. The first were just high columns of stone with a bonfire lit at the top every night. Watch the film to see some modern lighthouses.

Nowadays all lighthouses are controlled by computers but before that people had to live on them and switch on the powerful lamp with revolving mirrors every night.

Your Lego challenge today is to build a lighthouse .

How will you power & light the top of it?

Your challenge today...
Using only Lego....
Build the best Lightouse.
